Fresh Springs Ministries is pleased to announce a new initiative offering scholarship opportunities exclusively for church members embarking on their inaugural collegiate journey.

This initiative promotes academic pursuits amongst our church community and reinforces our church values of “a city compact together”. As a church family, we are fully invested in the well-being of our church and especially the development of the next generation. This significant undertaking underscores Fresh Springs' steadfast dedication to fostering a supportive environment conducive to both academic excellence and spiritual enrichment.

Scholarship Awards

Fresh Springs Ministries is proud to announce the introduction of two prestigious scholarship awards: the "Fresh Start Award" and the "Spring Forward Award". Recipients of these scholarships will be determined through the submission of an essay. For further information regarding eligibility criteria and submission guidelines, please see details below.

Essay Requirements & Guidelines

Topic: "The Importance of the Local Church in the Development of Next-Generation Leaders."

  • Length: The essay should be at least three pages but no more than five pages.

  • Format: Times New Roman font, size 12, with double spacing between paragraphs.

  • Cover Page: Include an original title and the applicant's name on a separate cover page. The applicant's name should not appear anywhere else in the essay to ensure anonymity during judging.

  • Content: There are no specific format requirements for the essay, allowing applicants creative freedom in their expression. However, the essay should address the topic comprehensively and thoughtfully.

Submission Instructions:

  • Applicants must submit their essays electronically via email to admin@freshspringsindy.org by the submission deadline of July 13, 2024, 11:59 PM.

  • Applicants must include a copy of their college acceptance letter.

  • In the subject line of the email, applicants should include: "Fresh Springs Ministries Scholarship Essay Submission - [Applicant's Name]."

  • The body of the email should include the applicant's contact information (name, email address, phone number).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants must be accepted to a 2-4 year college.

  • All applicants must be current members of Fresh Springs Ministries in good standing according to the church membership requirements.
